Alex Iwobi, born Alexander Chuka Iwobi, is regarded as one of the top 10 Nigerian football players in 2020. He was born in Lagos, Nigeria in May 1996. Currently 24 years old, he plays for Everton Football Club in the English Premier League, although he spent most of his football career at Arsenal for 15 years (from 2004 to 2019).
Iwobi started playing football at a young age and joined the Premier League club's youth team at the age of eight, where he played for 11 years. Following his impressive talent, he progressed to the senior team of Arsenal, one of the top clubs in England, and spent four years with them from 2015 to 2019. During his time at Arsenal, he made 100 appearances and scored 11 goals for the English club.
Despite being of Nigerian descent, Iwobi is also eligible to play for the English national team since he is a citizen of England. He has already represented England at the Under-16, Under-17, and Under-18 levels from 2011 to 2013.
